"Gold Still Life."

I stretched printed China silk to create a canvas, and then arranged a still life out of blue and white objects in my room.  Because the fabric was made up of cool tones, I converted the blues of the object to a gold to red scale, yellow being the lightest blue-white, and red being the darkest blue, and transferred this information to my canvas.

This is an abstract painting, using most of the nine different painting techniques:  dry application, wet application, thick application, glaze application, optical mixing, true mixing, small brush, wide brush, and quick application.

The Painting was created vertically, but It is displayed horizontally due to aesthetic preferences.

My "generic person" painting. We were all instructed to paint a person from our minds, not a specific person from a photo. Interestingly, everyone's "generic person" ended up looking very similar to themselves.
This can be deemed a self portrait of me when I was a red-head.

   "Parody of Munch"

This painting is a parody of Edvard Munch's "The Scream."  It infers the answer to the curiosity of "The Scream" viewers, as to what the figure is so anguished about.
